HubSpot for enterprise software companies
We configure HubSpot for the way software is sold and renewed: parent and child accounts with their buying committees, quotes and renewal quotes in Revenue Hub, subscriptions and licences as custom objects, and product usage, ERP and Salesforce data synced where your teams need it.

- 6 to 10 weeksfor a standard HubSpot build
- Two-waySalesforce sync, configured where both CRMs stay
Is HubSpot a good fit for enterprise software companies?
Yes. HubSpot runs the whole revenue cycle of a B2B software company on one platform: marketing, sales, customer success and, with Revenue Hub, quotes, contracts and renewal quotes. On Enterprise it adds custom objects for subscriptions, licences or workspaces and data warehouse connections in Data Hub, and its two-way Salesforce integration covers teams where both CRMs stay in use.
Most software companies we meet started HubSpot as a marketing tool, added sales and service later, and then inherited a second portal from an acquisition or a regional launch. Quotes live in documents, renewals sit in a spreadsheet and product usage never reaches the account record. A deliberate data model and quoting setup brings quotes, renewals and usage back onto the account.
Checkpoint GTM is a HubSpot Platinum Partner based in Berlin. We configure Marketing Hub, Sales Hub, Service Hub, Data Hub and Revenue Hub, consolidate portals, migrate from Salesforce and Pardot, and hand the finished portal to a named owner on your team.
What we configure
- Parent and child companies, buying roles and custom objects for subscriptions, licences and workspaces
- Separate pipelines for new business, expansion and renewals, each with its own stages and forecast
- Revenue Hub quotes from the product library, with renewal quotes, contracts and e-signature
- Product usage, ERP and Salesforce data synced in, with one owning system per field
Typical hub mix
- Sales Hub and Smart CRM for account executives and SDRs, Marketing Hub for demand generation and nurture
- Revenue Hub for quotes, contracts and renewal quotes; Service Hub for onboarding, support and the customer portal
- Data Hub for product usage and app sync, and Enterprise where you need custom objects or data warehouse connections
The HubSpot object model we build for enterprise software
Most reporting problems in a software company's portal trace back to the data model. This is the model we start from and adapt to how you sell.
- CompaniesCustomer accounts with parent and child companies for groups, subsidiaries and regional entities, plus ICP tier, named-account owner and territory properties.
- Contacts and buying rolesChampion, economic buyer, technical evaluator, security, legal and procurement as labelled roles, so every deal shows which part of the committee is covered.
- DealsOne deal per new contract, expansion or renewal, each in its own pipeline, with contract term, ARR and the motion it came from: sales-led, product-led or partner.
- Products, quotes and contractsThe product library with your plans, add-ons and services, and Revenue Hub quotes built from deals, including tiered pricing, change and renewal quotes and contracts.
- Custom objects for subscriptions, licences and workspacesOn Enterprise, custom objects hold what each customer actually runs, such as subscriptions, licences, workspaces or environments, associated with companies, deals and tickets.
- Tickets, projects and the customer portalTickets for support and onboarding, the projects object for implementations with board views, and the Service Hub customer portal where customers view, open and reply to their tickets.
Pipelines for new business, expansion and renewals
Each revenue motion gets its own pipeline and exit criteria, so a three-year enterprise contract, a seat upsell and a renewal are never forecast as the same thing.

Integrations we connect to HubSpot for software companies
We connect what the revenue team needs to see and keep finance and product systems in charge of their own data.
- ERP connectorsERP data reaches HubSpot through marketplace connectors for systems such as NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and SAP Business One, with custom object sync on HubSpot Enterprise. We set the sync so finance stays the source of truth for invoiced revenue.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365HubSpot documents its own Dynamics 365 connection: companies to accounts, contacts to contacts and leads, deals to opportunities, plus custom objects, products, invoices and orders. Custom field mappings need Data Hub.
- Product usage and data warehouseWorkspace and usage data synced to companies and custom objects with Data Hub, which syncs data between apps and, on Enterprise, connects data warehouses and storage platforms.
- Salesforce coexistenceWhere a sister company, an acquired business or a regional team stays on Salesforce, HubSpot's integration syncs contacts and leads, companies, deals and opportunities, tickets and cases, activities and custom objects both ways, with sync rules per field.
- Quotes, e-signature and StripeRevenue Hub quotes with e-signature, and Stripe payment processing on quotes for teams selling from Germany and the EU, with SEPA Direct Debit for buyers paying in euros. Enterprise contracts invoiced from your ERP stay there.
- Partner and reseller managementPRM apps from the HubSpot marketplace's partner management category add deal registration, partner lead distribution and partner portals. We implement the one that fits your partner programme and connect it to revenue reporting.
Security and compliance settings we configure
Enterprise buyers review their vendors, and your own security team reviews the CRM. These are the HubSpot settings and documents we put in place.
- EU data hosting in GermanyHubSpot offers an EU data center in Germany, and accounts on a paid plan can change their data center. We select it when the portal is created or plan the move for an existing one.
- Data processing agreementHubSpot's DPA includes GDPR terms, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum, the documents most vendor and DPA reviews ask for first.
- GDPR toolsLegal basis for processing recorded on contacts, consent-based limits on marketing email, permanent delete, and the data request manager for deletion and export requests.
- Single sign-on and audit logsSSO on Professional and Enterprise, audit logs of account activity, and on Enterprise a view of the actions HubSpot employees took while logged into your account.
- Security reports for vendor reviewsHubSpot has a confidential SOC 2 Type II report, a public SOC 3 report and its first SOC 1 Type II report, and carries the EU Cloud Code of Conduct Level 2 mark.
- AI data useHubSpot does not permit its AI providers to use customer data for model training and commits to minimising data retention, including zero-day retention where possible. We decide with you which Breeze features run on which data.
Breeze AI agents, set up for software sales and success teams
Agent Hub is included in Starter, Professional and Enterprise, and many Breeze agents run on HubSpot Credits. We switch on the agents that remove real work and point them at the right records.
- Customer agentAnswers routine product and account questions from customers and trial users, on Professional and Enterprise, with credits used only when the agent resolves the conversation.
- Prospecting agentResearches named accounts and drafts outreach from CRM, conversation and file data plus intent signals, and can write in the contact's preferred language.
- Data agentFills account properties such as tech stack or team size from web research, company websites and call transcripts, through smart properties and workflow actions.
- Agent builderCustom agents for your own processes, such as an account brief before a renewal or QBR call, built with actions that browse the web and read and write CRM records.
Migrating or consolidating a software company's CRM into HubSpot
From Salesforce, from Pardot, or from several HubSpot portals after an acquisition. Every migration we run follows four steps.
Inventory and decide
List every object, property, pipeline, workflow, quote template and integration in every portal and org, then agree the target model and which system owns which data.
Clean and consolidate
Merge duplicate companies across portals, triage legacy workflows, retire unused properties and agree one set of lifecycle stages before a record moves.
Migrate and rehearse
Move data with HubSpot Smart Transfer or the Salesforce integration, with custom field mappings through Data Hub, keep marketing contacts' opt-in status intact and run a timed dry run on real deals.
Cut over and hand over
Every team switches on a fixed date, quotes and renewals run from the new portal, dashboards go live and a trained owner on your side takes over the documentation.

Questions about HubSpot for enterprise software
Is HubSpot a good fit for enterprise software companies?
Yes. HubSpot covers marketing, sales, customer success and, with Revenue Hub, quotes, contracts and renewal quotes for B2B software companies selling to mid-market and enterprise buyers. On Enterprise it adds custom objects for subscriptions, licences or workspaces and data warehouse connections, and its Salesforce integration keeps both CRMs in sync where part of the business stays on Salesforce.
HubSpot or Salesforce for enterprise software?
Both run enterprise software revenue teams well, and we implement both, including Salesforce CPQ. HubSpot is usually faster to set up and easier for a growing team to own, with marketing, sales, service and quoting on one platform. Salesforce suits organisations with deep custom processes and an admin team to run them. Where both stay in use, HubSpot's two-way Salesforce sync with per-field rules connects them.
Can HubSpot handle quotes, CPQ and renewals?
Yes, in Revenue Hub. Users in a Revenue Hub Professional or Enterprise account create quotes from deals using the product library, with e-signature. Tiered pricing, change and renewal quotes and contracts are part of Revenue Hub, and we add a renewal pipeline so every contract gets a renewal deal ahead of its end date.
How do you model subscriptions, licences and workspaces in HubSpot?
As custom objects, which need an Enterprise subscription; HubSpot itself names subscriptions as an example of what custom objects can store. We associate each subscription, licence or workspace with its company, deals and tickets, so usage, renewal dates and expansion potential show on the account.
Can HubSpot run alongside Salesforce?
Yes. HubSpot's Salesforce integration syncs contacts and leads, companies, deals and opportunities, tickets and cases and activities in both directions, plus custom objects on Enterprise, with a sync rule per field: two-way, always Salesforce, always HubSpot or do not sync. We decide which system owns each field before the sync is switched on.
What does HubSpot provide for enterprise security reviews?
HubSpot has a confidential SOC 2 Type II report, a public SOC 3 report and a SOC 1 Type II report, carries the EU Cloud Code of Conduct Level 2 mark, and offers a DPA with GDPR terms and EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Accounts can be hosted in Germany, and Professional and Enterprise include single sign-on. We configure these settings and document them for your security team.
Can we consolidate several HubSpot portals and a Salesforce org into one HubSpot?
Yes, and we have done it for a software company after a merger. We inventory every portal and org, agree one target model, merge duplicate companies, triage legacy workflows and move data with HubSpot Smart Transfer or the Salesforce integration. Where entities must stay separate, HubSpot's multi-account management on Enterprise links additional accounts to one main account instead.
How long does a HubSpot implementation for a software company take?
A standard HubSpot build takes 6 to 10 weeks and a complex multi-hub build 12 to 16 weeks. Migrations from another CRM start from €15K; one of our Salesforce to HubSpot migrations, for a 120-person company, ran in 8 weeks. Work usually starts within two weeks of the first call.
